Happy Thanksgiving...

 Thinking a lot this week about being grateful consistently throughout the year, and how easy it is to forget how precious these lovely traditions of gathering are, and how things can change so quickly... I am at my parent's house this year listening to the kid's laughing as they watch some awesomely cheesy Christmas movie from 2001 in the other room on the hallmark channel. It just feels COZY...and for the first time EVER, it feels like "IT" won't be around forever, at least with the same long time cast members. Sometimes we forget to remember, to try harder to be compassionate and loving to our sometimes annoying family members, who we probably care about more than we let on... I hope you all have a cozy, relaxing, gratitude filled Thanksgiving Day...

I love art that is done well, annnnd has a sense of humor just as much as my beloved John Singer Sargent's or Cy Twombly's. When I walk into a home that has pieces of art with subliminal or ironic humor in their mix, I immediately feel a sense of friendship coming on, and if this piece was in a friends house of mine, I might try to steal it...;)
