Bringing Indoors, Out...

I can't wait for all of the outdoor living that is about to begin in these here parts of Seattle. This is my kind of living. I love having the comforts of home right at your fingertips, but doing most of the eating, reading, socializing, and relaxing OUTSIDE....It makes me so happy to hear the earth living around me. The birds, the trees blowing in the wind, even the neighbors sprinkler is a comforting sound....

Had to throw this in there..I mean come on? Pure heaven....
I hope you all are as excited for the summer winds to set sail.
It is gonna be a good one...

Our Home in Gray Magazine

The Northwest has a new design mag in town, and her name is Gray Magazine. It is all about home interiors, interesting places, and people. My art and I were lucky enough to be in the latest issue, and thought I would share it with you.
My family and I are loungers...We like to read, and hang together as a family, and we like comfy, cozy and soft, along with things that are meaningful to us strewn about.
I had a pair of rusty salmon-ey tufted 70's chairs that were being recovered for this spot, but I didn't get them in time, so these did the job....

I know you probably can't read this, so please head over to GRAY Magazine and check out the issue for yourself! Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Decor Amore....

This is one of the most thrilling and artfully decorated homes I have ever seen.(And the insane outfit above doesn't hurt either!) I want to see more...I want to see more rooms with art adorning every corner. Is that possible? I know it is. I am guessing Mario Testino has a few more homes, which, after seeing these photo's, I am hoping we get to see soon!

I LOVE the framed textile on the left wall...Art in every form folks...that is how we should express ourselves...

Isn't it so interesting how you know you could be buds with people just by looking at their homes? That is just how I feel about Mario, and so many others...Who do you know you would be buds with just by looking at pics of their homes?

Shop to Visit : OBJECT

My friend Leah and I went to the launch party last night for Day Night Magazine at  OBJECT , a well edited Seattle home store that carries one of a kind treasures and has some great pieces that show they don't take themselves too seriously. I particularly liked their small selection of books, one titled "Fire Expresses Itself With Fire".

I was seriously considering purchasing this gold hand, (found object).

I LOVED the photographs in their new mag. Selected by Keisha Harris, and photographed by the super talented Ryan Furbush.

You can purchase the mag here.

 The crowd was great...

Of course she was there! The now infamous Totokaelo model! Love her...

The man standing next to the floating porcelain axe was awesome...The fact that he was looking slightly like a man that would be chopping down a tree with an axe was even awesomer...

And of course there was the beer...

Hope you are having a great Easter weekend!

Corners, Entries, and Small Space LOVE...

These three spaces just blow my mind...All for different reasons. The first image is Gloria Vanderbilt's home and says well traveled, comfortable, and well collected. The second image is stunningly cool, and the third is earthy glam at it's finest...

Couldn't we all live in a few different styles of homes and be happy?
Hellz yeah...

Hope you all are having a great week!
